Where to begin?!
In the last post we were wondering what to do next. In this post you find us back in Spain! After New Year in the CEBB we spend a fantastic month-and-a-half in Florianopolis: Lagoa da Conceiçao to be precise. We stayed in the house of Vera, who was in Paris herself, putting the finishing touch to her doctoral thesis. Every morning we went to the beach: Praia Mole - often to see the sun rise, but always to soak up the sun and enjoy the purifying water of the Atlentic. After that we would go back, do our shopping and Paul would write for a couple of hours. He finally started writing his book on the 31st of December, while we were staying in the Buddhist centre for the 108 hours of peace. The house would get really hot during the day, but after 11am or 12pm it was suicidal to go outside without enough cover, as the UV levels would rise to dangerous heights. We made a few intersting acquaintances - but overal we didn't see many people. We became friends with Mauro, the local biodynamic gardner from whom we bought the most spectacular mango's and other fruits and vegetables twice a week. And we met Mexican midwife Naoli Vinaver, who had just moved from Mexico to a house a few hundred meters from where we were staying. On the day we met her, the 13th January, Cris felt the baby move for the first time!
Here are some pictures made in Floripa. The first picture (Mary's picture on the back of a truck) reminded us of Leonard's story of how he met Mary in the North of Brazil in the year 2000 (approximately). He was having a break during a radio interview and as he went outside he saw Mary's picture on the back of a truck. As he watched the picture on the truck Mary became 3-dimensional and moved towards him. Naturally he started flirting with her... For further details: ask Leonard himself.
On the 13th February we left Floripa and Brazil. The next time we will return there will be 3 of us! (Well, now as well, but there are 2 into 1 so to speak...). On Valentine's day we were delivered safe and well to Sevilla. We arrived from Lisbon on a tiny airplane with 2 propellors. It wasn't even big enough for an air-host(ess) and while boarding we found a lunchbox on our seat which included earplugs! Nevertheless, the views were spectacular. We flew over the south coast of Portugal and Spain and saw all our favourite spots from above.
After a week and more than 1000km driving we found our new home: in the mountains to the north-west of Sevilla. In El Molino! We knew the place, because this is where Leonard does his summer trainings and we assisted him here for a week last August. Ramon and Paula (the owners) offered us a house when we wrote them to ask if they knew any houses for rent...
Having found a house we rented a BIG van and drove north, to Holland, to be reunited with all our belongings that we had stored there since we left at the end of October 2010. 16 months ago! But on the way north we stopped in Paris for a few days to visit Vera and we were present while she defended her doctoral thesis in Paris 8 (the University). All in all it took us some ten days (with quite some adventures, mainly because of the van) to get back to El Molino. After unpacking and organizing our new house we enjoyed the quiet peace of El Molino.
Paul finished the first chapter of his book during Semana Santa. He will publish this chapter shortly on this blog - so keep checking! The title is Learning to Breathe from the Breath Itself.
And now we are ready for action again. See the next post for the anouncement of our first BirthintoBeing workshop. In May we will have our first Spiritual Purification training (9 days) for a small group - there is still space for one more participant if anyone is interested (8-16 May)!
Here are some pictures of the wonderful countryside of El Molino and our new house (the white wooden structure on one of the pictures is Leonard's dhuni...) .
